Control Blood Sugar, Lose Weight, and Keep It Off

I became very passionate about my health and the health of others, after losing my first wife Diane, to cancer in 2001.  I’ve been involved in health and fitness for many years.  I was a professional boxing coach for over 20-years of my life, I owned my own health club for over 10-years.  I was a personal trainer, and a professional boxing trainer, I have managed a diet center, and I’ve been a certified reflexology therapist. You would think that, with my background and the knowledge that I have, I wouldn’t have gotten fat, be out of shape, sick, and suffering from disease.

When I was 59 years of age I was about 210 pounds. I’d been as heavy as 227 pounds, but 210 pounds of fat was too much for my short 5’7” frame.  I was beginning to get very ill.  My blood pressure had soared to 183 over 100 and I had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.  I would go to bed at night and when I got up the next morning I would be so tired I couldn’t get out of bed. So I forced myself to get out of bed.  I would get ready for the day and go to work.  I would be so tired by 9:00 or 10:00 in the morning that I would need to take a nap.

Because I was self-employed oftentimes I would find a spot and pull my car off the side of the road and take a nap because I was suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.  I felt like my body had actually begun the process of dying (Dr. Robert Young stated “The body starts breaking down at an acidic pH of 5.5”).  I knew a little bit about alkaline and acid balance, so I thought I’d check my pH with litmus paper.  After I checked the ph of my body I found out that I had become very acidic. It was alarming because I’d never been acidic before in my life. I realized this was the reason I was sick.

I started the process of balancing the ph in my body. I also began to exercise and I was able to lose 40 pounds and most of it was my big belly. I lost nearly 40 pounds of belly fat.

My stomach was so big I couldn’t even see my toes. Even though I’ve lost 40 pounds I’m probably still somewhere in the neighborhood of 14% body fat.  I want to continue to melt belly fat until I’m below 10% body fat.  Some of you may not want body fat that low, but I do. Here’s the reason why.

The most accurate predictor of whether or not you will have heart failure is the size of your waistline.  A recent study found that women with a waistline over 35 inches and men with a waistline over 40 inches, were in grave danger of suffering heart failure and were four times more likely to suffer a stroke than the average population that have a smaller waist circumference. Obviously we need to melt belly fat and get waistlines as small as possible for better health..

I’m going to share with you the techniques I learned on how to control blood sugar, and to melt belly, and body fat. You  cannot spot reduce, by that I mean you can’t take fat off of the thighs or stomach unless you take fat off of the entire body.. Therefore you have to reduce body fat from the entire body in order to melt belly fat.  Here are four simple secrets to getting rid of belly fat.

  1. In order to lose fat and restore health you have to balance your body’s ph.

  1. You need to eat an alkaline, low glycemic index diet.

  1. You need to convert your body from a glucose or a sugar-burning machine, to a fat burning machine.

  1. You need  to exercise.
