
Balance Body pH
Let’s talk about balancing pH in our bodies. In chemistry there is a scale that determines whether a substance or a body is alkaline or acid. That scale starts at the number one and goes to14. One would be the most acidic and 14 would be the most alkaline on the scale. The number seven is neutral, it’s neither alkaline or acidic. Water is said to be neutral, however some water contains alkalizing minerals (calcium, magnesium, sodium, or cesium etc.) in it and the minerals alkalize the water.
Our blood was designed by our creator to be slightly alkaline, as was our bodily fluids. Our blood needs to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 7.3 constantly. That is slightly alkaline, or just faintly above neutral. Doctors and scientists tell us that, if it deviates even the slightest bit we would die.
In order to keep our bodies alkaline there are alkalizing minerals within our body. Minerals like calcium, magnesium, and sodium. If our blood pH starts to deviate because of consuming an acidic diet the body will rob calcium from the bones to neutralize, or buffer acid to keep our blood at the critical 7.3.
Whenever we eat acidic food our body creates fat cells to store the acid. Our blood needs to be slightly alkaline, and our bodily cells are much healthier if they alkaline also. The stomach produces hydrochloric acid as an aid to digestion and that’s the only place that our bodies can tolerate acid.
Battery acid is 0.8 pH, while stomach acid or hydrochloric acid is 2 on the ph scale, and cola drinks are 2.5 pH. Whenever you drink a cola, or eat something that is acidic the body creates a fat cell to store that acid in. If acid were allowed to touch our organs or arteries it would burn a hole in them. If you don’t believe how harmful acid is place a nail in a glass of coke for a few days. The coke will ultimately consume the nail.
It’s not necessarily fat that makes you fat, but acid causes the body to create fat cells. The body is adding adipose tissue or adding fat whenever you eat acid. The body will not let fat go as long as you body is acidic.
You have to alkalize your body to lose weight. Here’s how you can determine whether your body is alkaline or acid. Purchase some pH or litmus paper from the Pharmacy or order it online. Pass the pH paper through your urine stream the first thing in the morning. If the paper turns gray or green you’ll find that you are alkaline. But if it’s yellow or gold your body is acidic. You will not lose weight as long as you’re acidic.
When I began to alkalize my body the pounds began to melt off of me like hot butter. The first thing that you want to do is determine if you are acidic and if you are, then you want to begin the process of alkalizing your body.
There are alkaline foods and then there are acidic foods. Alkaline foods are raw, green, and yellow vegetables and non sweet fruits. Acid forming foods or acidic foods are foods that have been cooked or processed, and are ultimately dead foods.
Raw fruits and vegetables are loaded with enzymes so your body doesn’t have to use its enzyme reserves to digest raw or living food. Raw fruit and vegetables are loaded with water and oxygen and raw foods are alkalizing and will also alkalize your body when you consume them. If you want to alkalize your body or regain your health, a plant-based diet that is 80% raw fruit and vegetables, with only 20% cooked foods is the quickest and best way to achieve alkalinity and health. Eat as little animal protein as possible. Try to avoid all animal protein that isn’t organically grown. Most beef and chicken produced today are laced with antibiotics, steroids and hormones. When you eat the flesh of those animals you’re putting those toxic substances into your body and they’re all acidic as well as toxic to our bodies.
