The author of three books, Pharr wrote the inspirational Fight The Good Fight (2007), which details his touching tale of personal redemption and how he survived and even thrived as a professional boxing manager, trainer and promoter. He relates how he survived grief, setbacks, tragedies and failures and moved on even while contemplating suicide after the death of his wife to Cancer.
His life-changing work consists of inspirational speeches on overcoming adversity, the dangers of alcohol and drug use and other obstacles that prevent people from reaching their potential.
